Mrs. Morohunke Adenike Bammeke
Mrs. Morohunke Bammeke is a Board level, results-orientated financial services professional, motivational leader and team builder with over thirty years of extensive Information Technology, Accounting and General Management experience. Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, ability to effectively communicate ideas, and credible track record of innovation and value addition.
She holds a BSc (First Class, Combined Honours in Computer Science & Economics) from the University of Ife, Nigeria (Now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1986 and was Awarded UAC of Nigeria Scholarship. In 2006 she was Awarded the British FCO (Chevening) Scholarship for the Sloan Fellowship for her M.Sc. Management at the London Business School (UK). She is a Chartered Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with ICAN.
She has attended a number of Executive Education Courses and Programmes at some of the world’s best and leading Business Schools including; Strathmore Business Schools + Lagos Business School + IESE New York (Global CEO Africa Program – 2019), Ross Business School (Ascending to the C-Suite – 2017), Harvard Business School (Achieving Service Excellence 2012), IMD Lausanne – Switzerland (Managing Corporate Resources – 2002), INSEAD – Fontainebleau France (Strategic Management in Banking – 1995) and Lagos Business School (Senior Management Programme – 1995)
Her Professional experience and work career included as Managing Director – PENSIONS ALLIANCE LIMITED (Oct 2016 – Oct 2019), Managing Director – CEDAR CAPITAL CONSULT LIMITED (Jan 2013 – Sep 2016), General Manager/Group Head Operations – First BANK of NIGERIA PLC (June 2009 – Oct 2012).
She worked with – GUARANTY TRUST BANK PLC for about 17 years spanning from 1991 to 2008, serving as Manager & Head, Domestic Operations Assistant Manager Information Technology, Internal Audit (Jan 1991 – Apr 1995), Senior Manager & Relationship Manager Commercial and Corporate Banking (May 1995 – Oct 1997), General Manager & Head, Information Technology (Nov 1997 – Feb 2004), General Manager & Divisional Head, Operations (Mar 2004 – Jul 2005). In October 2006, Mrs. Bammeke was appointed Managing Director of GTB UK Limited a position she occupied through to March 2008 when she became the Managing Director Guaranty Trust Bank (UK) Limited and served to October 2008.
Between January 1987 and December 1990, she worked with UAC OF NIGERIA PLC, as Systems Programmer / Business Systems Analyst
She serves on a number of Boards of Companies and organizations including SARO AGROSCIENCES LIMITED, PALTON MORGAN HOLDINGS LIMITED (where she served as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman, Audit, Risk and Finance Committee from 2015 to August 2021) and TRIUM NETWORKS LIMITED.
Mrs. Morohunke Bammeke is happily married, and with children.
